The Herbst Foundation is a San Francisco 501(c)3 founded in 1961 by the Herbst brothers, Maurice and Herman Herbst. They’ve provided grants to countless San Francisco institutions and recently decided to create an online presence with help from Razorfrog Web Design.
To create their updated logo, we thought about their deep involvement with the San Francisco community and thought the Golden Gate Bridge was an excellent place to start. We helped the foundation assemble their content and, to round out their brand identity, photographed more than 30 locations throughout San Francisco that they’ve had part in creating.
With a deceptively minimal design, we made their achievements speak for them. Their website is fast, clean, and showcases the buildings they’ve funded throughout the city.
