About the KSJS 90.5FM website

KSJS 90.5FM is San Jose State University’s student-run, 24/7 radio station, delivering underground, local and upcoming music to the Bay Area community and beyond. Since 1963, the station has served as the public voice of California’s first public university and its surrounding community.

Razorfrog reimagined and modernized the station’s online streaming experience with a fun and accessible WordPress website that captures the spirit of KSJS. The site uses Spinitron Player (opens in a new tab), a custom WordPress plugin developed by Razorfrog, to integrate live Spinitron data and show visitors who is currently on the air, what is playing and when their favorite shows are coming up. Visitors can also explore the station’s five genres, learn about its departments and discover opportunities for students, faculty and staff to get involved.

Listeners can stream KSJS directly from the website or through the station’s mobile app (opens in a new tab), which Razorfrog also designed and developed and is available on the Apple App Store. The site also connects listeners with the station’s blog, social media and other resources for discovering emerging artists, upcoming shows and local events.
